Inner, divine, peace 04-10-19 & 04-11-19

04-10-19 See the light in others. 04-11-19 See the light in others;know the Inner Divine light in self. Sometimes, not often, however sometimes I do look at the life of others and think...WOW...wouldn't it be nice to have a life like that? Rarely, very rarely (perhaps never) is "yes" the answer I give myself. I like my life; I like me, I like the Inner Divine light that shines peace. Its a lesson Iearned very early in life; even before the spiritual path, "I am!"  Its as simple as that, "I am...as God has made me.  I am as God has made me to be.  I am as God would have my life" and there is simply no  better way to find peace.  Spirit is perfection.  The Inner Divine Spirit is my light; knowing that whatever, however, and whoever I appear is a direct reflection of knowing that God is greater.  However, whenever I forget, misplace, misunderstand "I am" I lose track, go off balance and find myself looking for light, my Inner Divine light somewh

...or something better...

What a fantastic prayer for good! "This God, or something better" is perhaps my favorite prayer. It is a prayer of patience, of faith or all things good. It is a prayer that insist that no matter I am going through, no matter what the outcome, no matter how tough the times may seem, it is all good. Its a simple prayer, that promises only one outcome: good. It follows the old dictate; that great expectations...produce good things. Again, it speaks of the energy of life; the unseen power, The Spirit in and of all things that offers good.  The energy that encourages faith in best outcomes.  The Source that provides. "This God, or something better" is a prayer of faith in God, The Good, The Omnipotent will result in the right and best outcome toward peace.

Who Do You Believe In...

"You got to believe in someone...why not believe in me...." is the popular refrain that sticks that I often hear in my head. I don't remember what song it belongs to; or who the artist(s) is that sings the song.  In fact, I don't even remember the name of the song.  However, it stays with me and has stayed in my head fro many years (so I gather its a song from my teens years...many moons ago...LOL). Thing is, it does stay with me and it pops up at the most opportune times; times when I need to answer the questions; to be asked the question. These are times when I'm seeking some kind of answer, insight, direction about something that has been troubling me for a while.  In most cases, I have spoken to several people, sought several sources and become unclear about which...who I need to believe in.  Ultimately, when I realize, or become to tired to seeking the answer from others; I'll hear the refrain of the song: "You got to believe in someone...why not bel

Scott... You said you wanted to go to that place for a beer. Scott I wanted to take you to that place for a beer. Scott I thought, next time we meet, next time we all get together,  I going to ask.. "Who wants to go for a beer...to that place...with me and Scott?" I was going to ask you, you invite to...to go with you...us together...for A beer with Scott, And now that Scott is no longer here...to go to that place... where he wanted to go for a beer... i was reading a mystery story based on the Sister Joan m ystery story series. Naturally, its based in Europe (England) because most all my mystery series stories are based in England since my first story of Sherlock Holmes.  I was child when  I started reading or rather when I found about Sherlock Holmes, and inquisitive child, I was often "tagged" Sherlock (Holmes).  Little people realize (adults) basically that moniker would not only prove to true, I would grow into the "tag" about being curious and grow to like most everything about the idea of being "a" Sherlock Holmes. Namely, I am, like the character in my new series, Sister Joan and curious, inquisitive and solitary personality.  I enjoy thinking, I enjoy trying to figure things out in my own mind, I enjoy listening. I also, like Sister Joan enjoy investigating; finding out things; knowing more about something that has popped up in that "Sherlock" mind of mine.  Obviously, unlike playing c

Nonresistance; Kung Fu

I can remember watching David Carridine on Saturday TV, practice the moves of "nonresistance" as Kung Fu on Saturday TV as child, teen.  I look forward to the show, not for the fancy footwork fighting scenes which would he would be forced to release to an unsuspecting aggravator, troublemaker, or bully. I look forward to the other part of "the fight"...the nonresistance part of plot because it one of the few examples around (in my neighborhood and in my life) where there was peace in and around chaos. Replace, Replenish, Regain

Locust have such a bad name in the bible. Or rather, such damaging perception. This was called to my attention again, reading Joel 2:25 passage which focsed on "regain" of what the "locust had eaten away" during one of those nasty curses always assocated with locust. Of course, it wasn't the locust that was the focusing of the passage, it was the idea of gegarin, after the "locust of you life" may have eaten away some part of your life, heart, spirit money. Spiritual Awareness of Awakening

I have always been spiritual. Even when the term was not "politically correct," or popular as it is these. Even I didn't know exactly what "spiritual awareness" is; I was spiritual. As such, I've always been aware that although, I didn't, don't know the answers to all life's issues, let alone my own, I have know that the answer(s) we seek, need are within in us. Each of us has a connection to Spirit. Sometimes we "know" this, feeling it and heed it. Sometimes we are unwilling, unwanting and wary of the ability to "know" the answers within and for ourselves.  We seek others and the information others willing supply about own life.  We trust the words, information and dictation of others because, we are not aware of our own knowing spiritual awareness. Perhaps its safer to get answers from others.  In this way we have someone else to blame when things (seemingly) don't go right; which means go the way we want.. And yet your

Rest

Rest. Do exactly as it says. I rarely have a problem with rest. Or getting the rest I need or taking time to rest. It is one the things I promised myself, growing up and watching people be so tired and unhappy that they could barely stand on their own two feet. Riding the New York trains see single mothers dozing, flickering every few stops to make sure they don't miss their stop on the way home to their babies; young and old. Immigrants, looking plainly out into space, making sure never to look anyone in the eye, that might be able to distinguish if they are legal or "illegal" (how can people be illegal).  Nonetheless, the work, and work and work and work very hard and long hours to fulfill the promised of the golden land of America. Then there are the too tired older gentleman, dedicated and proud to be able to provide for their family for the past 30 years at the same job, doing the same thing, dealing with the same disrespect, despicable people, and possibly the slowi

How Not to Solve a Problem

Its a dilemma. A problem weighs heavy on your mind; so it is bound to weigh heavy in your thoughts. You concentrate on it; concentrate on trying to find an answer; the solution; focus on the fix. However, the more you concentrate on your concern; the more you address the agony; the more you focus on the fixing it; the more likely you are working on "how not to solve a problem" because focus on the fix is not the answer. Focus on the God, is the fix for the problem. God is energy.  Energy is "The Source" of life; all that concerns life, including the issues that plague our mind, body and spirit. So that when I focus my energy on tying, struggling, failing to find an answer to a problem, I am misplacing the energy of "The Source" which is light that will make clear that I seek to know, understand and figure out. Lean not unto you own understanding; BIBLE VERSE. Lean, focus, let go into "The Source" to find the relief and the answers.

New Idea

Oxymoron? I was reading something about being open to "new ideas" and wondered...aren't all ideas new? Isn't the very nature of "coming up with an idea" the meaning of seeing something differently, coming to a  new understanding of something or changing to a new path to resolve something? I don't know, and truth be told, it may not really matter "new ideas" is the same as "jump shrimp" - as an oxymoron. The important thing about new ideas that we are open to creating, developing and letting go of the old if only enough to allow "new ideas" to enter the consciousness. And the interesting thing is, you can never tell how, where, who might offer a new idea; again the these intricacies matter less than being open to new ideas.

Child like...Childish...Like a Child

The bible verse says ...a person should grow in/into Christian and put away childish things. The bible also says...a person should become "child like" in order to evolve like a Christian. So which is it? I often find these contradictory verses in the bible.  I used to be concerned, rather question the validity of such; however, I realize contradictions, like chaos are the creative process of the bible.

It's only natural

How much can one write about something that is as natural as the sky, sun, air? In fact, it is air; breathe. Breathe, breathing and meditation is so popular that if you'd get 1,000 hits on google before you even typed in the third letter. Its popular, I suppose because its been "discovered" as something good (for your), a d something marketable and I think less obvious..."the business" of  breathing is very profitable. No to sound like a cynical, breathing has been a multi-billion dollar business, however, that's not my focus, other than to lead credence to the reality of how important the act, conscious act of breathing has become. You see, although its as nature as the sky, the moon, sun, breathing is often taking of granted.  We do it.  We must do it'; if not you would not even be here...i.e. alive to read this.  So, although "its only natural" like so many things that were once natural and good for us, we changed the dynamic of the things s

Complain or Complement

How do you view the "things that happen to me" experiences in your life? Do you complain when things are going your way? Tell anyone who will listen (and those who don't want to) all the bad things that are happening to you and lament "all things that happen to me" if you only understood. Well the thing is when you recognize that a complaint can (often is) an opportunity toward finding the path will complement your life.  To complain is to deny the understanding that "this too will pass" and I will look back and know that it was how I got to the other side of "all the things that happen to me" I can't control Consider the next time you complain about "all the things that happen to you" that may be able to look at it as "all the things that happen to me " on the path to "all the things that happen for me" to be  better, happier, healthier with more peace.

Life

One of those 4-letter words that hold 400 feelings, 4000 years, 40, 000 ideas, 400, 000 meanings, 4  million and infinity experiences. You have probably heard the phrase "Life is a gift" and yet until  you have lived that meaning of one of those millions of experiences, the "the gift" of life is meaningless. We have life. However, that is not always the Divine expression of "the gift of life" we have to be/available. Available is "the gift of life" through expression of our own unique being.  You may be a painter, dancer, teacher, doctor, veterinarian, coach, mother, father, builder, writer, cook, caregiver, aunt, uncle and myriad of many other titles that give meaning to your life.   However, "the gift of life" most present and best received when YOU, your essence, your divine self, your creative, unique divine expression of kindness, creative joy, your piece is the peace present.

Sad indeed, because peace is one of the simplest, kindly and necessary aspects of living a "good" life that we can all benefit from. In other words if you are suffering from inside pain, heartbreak, break up, sadness, lonliness, anger, confusion or depression, when you focus on peace, you will find the missing piece to set balance in any and all of these issues. At the center

You've probably heard in some form or another the thought, "Things can happen to you, things can happen around you, but the things that matter most are the things that happen in you." This is a reflection on the Divine consciousness; that is your awareness of how you place yourself, your mindset and your spiritual being.  Knowing  how, where you are in terms of the world around you, is an effective way to get guidance, make choices and feel safe.  Divine Consciousness surrounds, enfolds and centers your life no matter what is going on in your world.  Divine Consciousness is knowing that you are protected no matter how things turn up or appear to out in your life.  Divine Consciousness is at the center of all that matters inside you. Prayer, meditation and service to the sacred develop Divine Consciousness.  And in doing so you become more aware, safe and better balanced at the center of you.

God's Will

There is so much that can be read into the proclamation "God's will" including whether it is a proclamation, acclamation, suggestions, request or affirmation. You see if  I believe that "I" am created in the image of God, (we all are), then I am part God's will and all that it manifest.  In accepting the ""I" am greater than the limitations of my humanness, I give power to my will and all that it "create" as spiritual being. The will is the power/ability to make a decision and manifest it accordingly.  However, there are times when it seems easier to forgo and forget that we imbued with the will to give direction to the life we live.  In times like these it is easier to proclaim, suggest, request "God's Will" be responsible for the decisions we have been granted the power to do. Indeed, the will has amazing power to support your decision when exercised in the knowing spirit of / as God's will be done.

Indeed, the will has amazing power to support your decision when exercised in the knowing spirit of / as God's will be done.

Why Pudding...Are You Pudding Me On? Pudding One Over

Pudding....hmmmm I say "hmmmm" however it a long time, a long time, a very long time since I've had any kind of pudding.  Come to think of it, I don't even remember if I like pudding.  In fact, the only pudding I' can ever remember eating is that famous southern desert whipped up with bananas as the top ingredient.  Sure, I remember some fondness for Banana Pudding, and I especially recall one friend who thinks banana pudding is cure all for what ever ails you (well not really, he just loves banana pudding like there is no tomorrow).  Its kind of funny, his love for banana pudding because he's not southern born, not even American born, and yet, he loves banana pudding; and why not? When I first discovered my friend's love for banana pudding, I thought he was putting one over on me; that is teasing to get a laugh-out-loud moment which has sometimes been the case as a result of our cultural diversity.  You know in the way Lucy was able to get great laughs ba

Positive Creative Potential

I think sometimes people forget how positive potential can be an asset to the creative process.  It's not difficult to see its because we often focus on the product, or the end result of the creative process.  However, there can be no result without potential.  Potential, is necessary for the creative process because it is where the idea springs forth, and ideas for any positive creation originate with The Creator.  In fact, it believed creation began with potential.  The process of breathing life into a nothingness was a powerful act of creation of positive from potential. We don't always see the positive in potential, yet when we are able to imagine, we  can often create all kinds of positive from potential.

Energized! For some reason I associated this word with recent times; believing it a new word, a sign of the times relating to all the energy it takes for people to live their lives or all the energy (as in technology) it takes to run the world. However, as it turns out , the word "energy" has been around since 1750 (although I'm not exactly clear how long or when the world energgy+ized) came into existence.  Nonetheless, there is some part of my presumption that's true.  Although documented in the late 1750s, there is significant use of the term as years pass.  I guess you might say that with all words, they grow as time goes by.  Actually not so, there are so many words, for lack of us SUCH AS _____________ that have fallen by the waste side and no one uses them or even knows what those words are used for; which is interestingly related to the word energize. I realize, that like those words that don't get used, if you don't get going, get up and do it, get on

Divine Love

Interesting thought that..."Divine Love" when spoken. I mean if you think about it, how can "love" be anything but "divine" which is the very nature of love. Perhaps the need to clarify love as "Divine" has come about in seeing so much of what people call "love" ...is actually not love at all; at least not demonstrated as such. Corinthians verse 13 in the bible states all that "Love is..." which can be seen as a way to help us understand that all the other things one may feel is love; actually is not love. For example, those who feel they "love" another so much that they are jealous, or have envy or that the "love" they have hurts so much it makes them them crazy are not experiencing "Divine Love" at all. We see these kinds of excuses, reasoning or lack of clarity about "love" in some many forms these days through the advances of technology.  All those non-love expressions such as racism

Sometimes it works

When I'm in the midst of blizzard of blankness, a storm of unclearer and being blown away by things out of my control, I sometimes forget that faith is the way to shelter.  Faith is the way out of the torrent of any seemingly bad situation you may find in your world. And yet, I sometimes forget.  I not only forget that faith is at my side, like an umbrella in the canister waiting for me to pick it up, open it up and be covered by all the shelter faith offers from the seemingly bad weather of the whatever condition I find myself in at the time. Faith works all the time; although sometimes we forget.

How I ID

How do you ID? That is how do you identify you - for you. No, not talking about you hair or eye color.  Nor height or how much you weight.  Not really, although those are some absolutes about your identity (absolute in terms of being clear ways to ID; not absolute that you can't change these items). And it is to this point I speak. I've always believed I am the ID for me.  Even before it became popular, I knew, understood, realized it was up to me to ID myself as I would like to be perceived, received and respected. Certainly, I could give a break down of my hair and eye color; weight and height, and yet again , especially for purpose of this discussion, I leave those definitions aside. I concerned with "how I show" ...look and ID me to me; which is the best way to be - in anyone's eyes. And once you've made the ID of yourself, what who , how you feel comfortable with you. Moreover, how I ID is the best way to make the true, authentic, spiritual self scene, ap

Practice Makes Perfect

How interesting the things we really want usually take a lot of time, energy and effort. Like learning to play an instrument, learning to ballroom dance, or even learning to save money for that new car, vacation or house.  Seems like we would be more than willing to practice the notes, steps or putting away the pennies for these things we say we really want; after all the process is usually just a bit at a time.  We need not take great big giant uncomfortable awkward steps towards getting or doing the things we say we want; we simply need to practice. Likewise, its that same principle of "practice makes perfect" we can use toward choosing a mindset or peace over worry when things don't seem to be going our way.  Worry will can whoosh you down a rabbit hole of despair, depression and debilitating anguish - if you chose to practice that mindset instead. However, if you're like me, it seems we often do chose to practice worry over wanting peace because the worry option s

Worth its Weight in Gold

What do you value? I mean really value the most? Like if something not money could be turning into gold; as in an alchemy, what would you present to the Alchemist? For me, its kindness/ It's an interesting little adage, cliche,  analogy with much value. I was having a conversation with someone a while back which focused on the importance of love; which of course can not be argued...at all. However, as I listened to the person tell the story of the recent incident at work which showed the importance of love; how very much it resolved the issue and how very much it is needed in these situations, I had the sense something was missing. But how could that be?  What could be missing in a story about the miraculous story of love? The value of kindness. Well, it wasn't missing from the story, nor from that experience of love shared, and yet I wanted to express my heartfelt believe that kindness has a great value (also); worth its weight in gold.  Perhaps in mind and heart kindness is a

Relationship ... Everyone wants one...to be in a relationship...to have a relationship ...and then often when we get there it's not what it we expect or what we want or what we are willing to work at. That's the things about a relationship...believe or not ...it does require work. And the part that we forget, or perhaps don't know ...but will learn in time, the work is usually for /about our self. It's easy to thing that the OTHER person in the relatiohship  needs work (and that's obviously  got to be true...because it takes two). Clarity

"I can see clearly..." says the song from a few decades back. However, it still rings true today, the exhilarating feeling of being able to see beyond the muck and mire. It's almost like a crystal ball, but not exactly. Being able to see with clarity isn't like a crystal ball; it requires some ability to believe that you can create insight with clarity.  You must believe, have faith that your ability to see things beyond the instant now can offer a better perspective. Sometimes "I can see clearly now..." is a result of having all your ducks lined in a row.  You know what you've planned, you know that the plan has a great chance for success, in fact you believe it will be successful.  Therefore, you can see clearly. How about those times when you don't have a plan.  You can't see beyond your hand, at not anything good.  Come to think of it, that's the next word in the song "now" and its important in terms of how one does process you

I mentioned something to a friend the other day, and she said "breathe." And I answered, "If I don't...I die." She shot back a LOL. Mindfulness. It's a practice that gets a lot of attention these days. Seems everyone talks about "mindfulness," stating its a good thing to do.  Thing is very few people can give a clear, direct, simple "way to do mindfulness" in practice. Okay, let me be fair, many practitioners of mindfulness will try to explain that you basically need to focus on your breathing, and be "in the moment."  I swear, if only it were that easy for some of us.  I do get that it's the breath that calms your body, as well as your mind - so that you can practice mindfulness. In a way, "mindfulness" means "concentrate" on the moment (concentrate is probably not the best word, since the idea is to free your mind from hard work).
